Scenario Overview
Chemical plants and industrial facilities expose optical cables to acid, alkali, solvent vapors, and extreme temperature variations. Standard cables can suffer sheath degradation, moisture ingress, and mechanical failure within months.
The solution requires chemical-resistant sheath materials (typically HDPE or special-compound PE), double-layer protection, and armored construction to withstand both chemical attack and mechanical damage.
Chemical Resistance Priority
Select sheath material based on the specific chemicals present. HDPE provides broad chemical resistance; special compounds are available for extreme acid/alkali environments.
