Scenario Overview
Perimeter security systems require fiber backhaul to aggregate video, alarm, and access control data from dozens of perimeter cameras and sensors back to the control center. The cable infrastructure must support long distances, multiple zones, and future expansion.
A zoned aggregation architecture is recommended: access cables (4-12F) collect individual cameras, aggregation cables (24-48F) connect zones to the control center, and a backbone cable (48-96F) provides the main trunk.
Zoned Architecture Principle
Design in three layers: camera access (4-12F per zone), zone aggregation (24-48F), and backbone trunk (48-96F). This enables fault isolation and phased expansion.
